As I’m writing this, I’m in the middle of what isn’t exactly a mental health crisis, but definitely a reckoning. My diagnoses are bipolar 1 disorder, anxiety, ADHD, and I’ve had some trauma in my life, as we all have.
Specifically, right now, my mind has decided that it’s time for me to address that trauma. This does not make me happy, because, to be frank, I’ve got stuff to do and, as far as I’m concerned, the trauma can stay in the background and let me live my life.
However, I’ve been told that I have to give it it’s time, or it will keep poking its head back up. I’ve decided that journaling might be a good way to give it it’s time, in a discrete format. I’m sharing my journal in a blog, in case it might be helpful to someone else going through a similar experience.
